You have two options to join the studio as a beginner. Intro to Studio K takes place about once a month, alternating between weekends and weeknights. Intro to Pole is added to the schedule on a supplemental basis to let you get started without having to wait for the next round of Intro to Studio K that suits your schedule.

Intro to Studio K

$50 for all three classes

If you’ve never done pole before or are new to the studio, Intro to Studio K courses will help you get a taste of all our classes and see what you enjoy. The course consists of three classes, which are meant to be booked together (but email us if you have scheduling constraints)!

Session 1: This class will start with an introduction to Studio K, pole dancing equipment, safety, and grips. Then you'll learn basic pole dance and floorwork moves and put them together in a short combo!

Session 2: You'll hear a brief history of pole dance, build on Session 1 by trying out spin pole, and get a sampler of our Low Flow class!

Session 3: Learn about the importance of rest, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning to pole dancing, and get a sampler of our Flexibility Flow, Active Flexibility, and Pole Conditioning classes!

Attire: Comfortable clothing with exposed skin or grippy material on your legs and arms. For example shorts and a tank top or sports bra, or a cute pole outfit! Non-sticky leggings are not recommended.

Pre-reqs: None

FAQs

What should I bring?

Yourself and a water bottle (we have a water cooler if you forget).

Wear comfortable clothing with exposed skin or grippy material on your legs and arms. For example shorts and a tank top or sports bra, or a cute pole outfit! Non-sticky leggings are not recommended. You can wear socks or go barefoot. Please remove jewelry and don't apply lotion or oils before class. Each class listing has a "what to wear section" when booking.

When should I arrive to class?

Doors will open ten minutes before class starts. Plan to be on time - late entries are not allowed. If this is your first class at Studio K, show up ten minutes early to be introduced to the studio.
